The Challenge
- Lead external audit and assurance engagements across a variety of sectors, including corporates, charities, and independent schools.
- Oversee audit planning, execution, and completion, ensuring assignments are delivered on time, within budget, and to regulatory standards.
- Review financial statements and prepare supporting tax computations as part of audit assignments.
- Work directly with clients, including time spent on-site at their premises when required.
- Address and resolve client queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Apply professional scepticism, judgment, and a risk-focused approach throughout the audit process.
- Maintain audit quality standards in line with audit regulations and firm policies.
- Manage and prioritise workload effectively across multiple assignments.
- Deliver excellent client service while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Support and mentor junior team members as required.
Requirements
About You
- Qualification: CA(SA) or ACCA (completed 3-year training articles essential).
- Group or Listed audit experience advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards (FRS 102, IFRS, US GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting packages such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and CCH is an advantage.
